Brainspotting
Major advances in neuroscience over the past 20 years have led to the development of new therapy models that take into account all this new knowledge about the impact of trauma on the brain and nervous system. We understand "trauma" as both single and recurrent traumatic events, such as so-called "developmental or attachment trauma".
Brainspotting therapy is one of these innovative models.
Its creator, David Grand, PhD, discovered that eye positions can give us direct access to the neurophysiological sources of emotional or bodily pain. By maintaining focus on these eye positions, the client can process experiences and symptoms that have become "encapsulated" in the brain and its neural pathways.

Brainspotting has been successful in multiple conditions: anxiety and depression, trauma, injury and accident recovery, chronic pain, addictions, asthma, surgery recovery, stuttering, anger management, and more.
I am a member of the Spanish Brainspotting Association and offer Brainspotting sessions in Palma de Mallorca and Andratx, Balearic Islands.

Brainspotting is both a neurobiological and psychological approach, as it is also based on a therapeutic relationship of deep harmony between therapist and client.
